They are an amazing couple

Harry and Meghan are two of my most favourite people in the world.

They are indeed royalty.

How do they relate to social selling?

I will begin with a definition:

Social selling is the process of developing relationships as part of the sales process. Today this often takes place via social networks such as LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, and Pinterest, but can take place either online or offline

One of my first sales when I worked at a world class business paper in Nigeria came through my personal networks.

I got a personal recommendation.

You can never underestimate the power of building relationships that are not strictly business but also recognize and respect boundaries.

People trust you via regular daily conversations. They get to know your person via regulat conversations.

That is why you cannot underestimate the power of building a personal brand.

Building a personal brand:

A personal brand is who you are online that greatly resembles who you are offline.

For example, I am a skilled and experienced writer who has learned how to leverage relationships on social media and translate it to business. I built this from scratch beginning 10 years ago.

I can do this for anyone else because I built a brand and relationships from scratch. Building a brand does not require you to 'mirror' a persona. That would be cold and lifeless.

Building a brand requires you to communicate your beauty and essence such that others want to relate and interact with you. As trust grows you get to do business and grow together in a seamless unforced rhythm.

Meghan and Harry are a symbol of royalty and love. They work together making other people's lives better and living a fulfilling life.

They communicate their essence and values via Instagram and when people see the beautiful picture they have painted, they want to communicate with them and become a part of what they are doing.

Marketing Tip:

When Meghan wears an outfit for any event, in hours all that she is wearing from her hair slip to her shoes gets sold out in a few hours. This is power.

This is influence.

How to understand what your network of influence is on LinkedIn

Linkedin is powerful.

It is about beauty, community and making the lives of others meaningful.

To go on Linkedin, you must comprehend the value that you bring to the world and communicate it with passion.

Linkedin is powerful because the people on Linkedin are looking to build wonderful careers that do more than making money.

The average millennial will only stay with a job for 12 months before they move. They start getting what my sister calls 'chicken leg' as early as 3 months. If they are not engaged on the job and not enjoying what they do, you cannot convince to remain with a job that does not excite them and get their creative juices going.

People on Linkedin are excited about creating solutions.

One of the smart ways to get noticed online is by:
...sharing your perspectives and helping provide relevant information to common pain points creating relevant solutions to pain points.

How to use content in a meaningful way to start a business conversation

Be yourself.

Communicate clearly. Be helpful and show expertise using words, well-designed Canva cards, pictures and videos.

Use all kinds of multimedia to drive home your point.

Show the problems and then the solutions. Always let your viewers know how to reach you for one on one conversation.

Top-level executives are always looking for solutions and people who can create the solutions they need. As long as you are focused on creating solutions, the right people will connect with you.

You can also make the first contact using a solution to a problem they want to solve.

Meghan and Harry briefly paused their Instagram accounts. The good news is that they have opened their Linkedin accounts.
